This family has been waiting a little while for this session to go ahead….first I injured myself and then it was just hard finding a time to suit everyone…we settled on last weekend and we were all good to go and then just as I was on the road to our location the tiny splitters of rain began to hit the windscreen….I was devastated! After frantically calling Justin to organise the studio – the rain stopped and the sun came out with a vengeance. These two were a joy to photograph and loved checking out the black swans that were happy to come and have a sticky beak as well. Although smiles were not always forthcoming, I think we managed to capture the happy-go-lucky nature that this family oozes. You might recognise this gorgeous face from one of my previous sessions and you would be right…what a pleasure it was to be able to do one of my favourite sessions with Lilly. She was a bit cautious about the cake due to a previous indiscretion at home which got her into a bit of trouble…lol. Eventually though, she did get into it…..with a bit of help from mum and me! Since these photos have already been sent out, I am just updating with a montage of the session!

With Christmas coming, I decided to hand out a few free sessions to past clients who wanted updated photos for Christmas….I was stoked when Amanda and her boys (and precious little girl) took me up on my offer. Boys are always fun and although we spent some time doing various family shots in the studio – we also let the boys have some silly time as well. These are the first ones to come off the press but there will be more coming!!!

A tiny princess named Jaylee

Today’s session has been about 22 weeks in the making. I met Tammy and Shane back in march when Tammy was around the 12 week mark in her pregnancy and promised that I would do a session when bub was finally here. Jaylee made her appearance into the world 5 weeks early but was out of special care in less than 24 hours. I knew she was tiny as I had seen all the pictures on facebook, but until I actually meet this little one in person I had no real ideal. Jaylee is certainly tiny but absolutely gorgeous! At two weeks new today, she made a perfect model – despite her superability to poop. I love black and white shots of newborns so please excuse them….Thank you Tammy and Shane for welcoming me (and Justin too) into your family again….it has been a pleasure to share the joy of your pregnancy and birth with you. Enjoy!

Nori & Boyan

After two weeks of disastrous weather, I was beginning to wonder what today was going to hold for this gorgeous couple’s plans. I was amazed when I opened my eyes to sunshine – it had been raining throughout the night and the wind gusts were huge! I am not talking just the sun trying to peak out sunshine – I am talking amazing glorious Queensland sunshine! Nori and Boyan met with me a couple of weeks ago to discuss their needs, and their story showed me how love can bring cultures together. Their wedding brought together people from all around the world, as well as Australia….there were language barriers that needed to be crossed as well as well. The day went off without a hitch – a beautiful cruise on the river to celebrate a joining of a couple.

Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of this special day…these images are straight out of the camera and untouched….I loved them sooooo much I just had to share!

Sandii

Its been such a long time since I have had a session and I have been looking forward to meeting up with Sandii for this session for a while now. Sandii has kept in touch with me while she has travelled her journey in training over the last few months in order to apply for the cover of Oxygen magazine. I felt absolutely honoured to have been asked to take the photos for this challenge. Working with the lights was definitely a challenge in itself and hopefully there will be lots more studio sessions in the future and so lots more learning. Sandii was a gorgeous model and I wish her all the best with the competition!

Last week I had to pleasure of meeting a couple of gorgeous kidlets!! They belong to the most fun family I have ever met….It was certainly a challenge getting the four of them together for a family shot as Ace was on the go the whole time…even so there are so gorgeous images here….I hope you like them Selina!

Just a quick note everyone….the time has come for me to review my charges and from the 1st of September new charges will take affect….they can be found on my session and pricing page.

I am also now offering studio sessions in my home and prints and albums at your request.

Baby Aiden

Last Wednesday I had the pleasure of catching up with Cod y and Michelle again….this time though I was meeting the newest addition to the family. Whilst this little one was born whilst I was away on holidays, I had still hoped to catch him in that gorgeous 14 day window…my lighting set up was delayed and so was the session. We ended up running the session in Michelle’s home with limited light (thanks to another overcast Brisbane day!)….but I think the photos turned out pretty special….sorry it’s been a while for your sneak peak but here it is Michelle…and there will be more coming in the next couple of days……
